Sock Summit and why I choose not to blog as much

The Sock Summit blew my mind and will be probably the best knitting conference I have ever been too. I am sure nothing I attend will top it! When I first went to pick up my packet and get a ticket to be in the Guiness Book of World Records...I was amazed by the amount of people knitting and the willingness to chat with anyone in the room. I wanted to capture the Sock Summit brochure on film and I setup a little display on a table next to a lady crocheting...most of you know I cannot crochet. I mentioned this and the lady jumped up to show me how to crochet in a circle - something I never could grasp from a book. Next I met a Canadian that chatted and wanted to grab breakfast with me...it was like everyone was eager to make new friends! After breakfast...I quickly went to my Knee High Sock Knitting Class. I was a bit disappointed that although I am an intermediate knitter, I could not follow most of the lessons in this class because I am not a "sock knitter." I did not have my learning to knit one sock on 2 circ. class until tomorrow. I picked up some tips & tricks, but still I am worried about the lace past the knee socks that I have been just dreaming of making for a few years...I have the pattern and yarn already.
Blogging - most of my life is spent on a computer for work and I get burnt out on sitting in front of this machine...I want to feel life...so I chose to blog sporatically.
